"Chess club update.

The A team - Division 1 - have had an excellent season finishing 4th with 16 points. Excellent performance by Paul Dargan - our top scorer on 68 per cent. Also well done David Henderson who played the most matches - 12/13. We have played 14, won 5, drawn 6 and lost 3 in a very tough league so well done all.

Tynemouth B - Division 2 - have also had an excellent season finishing 3rd with 15 points. They have played 14 games, won 4, lost 3 and drawn 7. Top performer is Paul Edwards who scored an excellent 77 per cent! Well done Paul!

In Division 4 Tynemouth C finished a respectable 3rd and Tynemouth D finished bottom but were only 3 points behind the C team showing how tight the Division was.
